Live Meeting Translator (“the Extension”) is a Chrome browser extension developed by Radaz Technologies that provides real-time translation of audio from Google Meet, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams meetings. This Privacy Policy explains what data the Extension collects, how that data is used, and your rights regarding your data.
1. What we collect
When you use the Extension, the following data is processed:
a) Account information
When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address, name, and profile picture from Google to identify you across meetings and devices. We do not request access to your Google Drive, Calendar, Gmail, or contacts.
b) Authentication tokens
We store a session token (JSON Web Token) locally in your browser
via chrome.storage.local to keep you signed in.
c) Preferences
Your selected speaker language, listener language, voice, and toggle settings are stored locally in your browser.
d) Meeting audio
While you have enabled translation on a meeting tab, audio captured from that tab is streamed to our backend server for speech-to-text, translation, and text-to-speech processing. Audio is processed transiently and is not stored, recorded, or retained after processing. Translated text transcripts may be stored on our server for the duration of an active meeting session to support delivery acknowledgments and missed-message replay, then deleted.
e) Meeting metadata
Meeting ID, your chosen languages, timestamps of utterances, and delivery state are stored for the duration of an active meeting session.
2. What we do not collect
- We do not collect your web browsing history.
- We do not track your clicks, keystrokes, mouse position, or scroll activity.
- We do not access tabs other than the meeting tab you have explicitly enabled translation on.
- We do not collect location, health, financial, or payment information.
- We do not record or save raw meeting audio.
3. How data is used
All collected data is used solely to provide the real-time translation service that is the single purpose of this Extension. Specifically:
- Account data identifies you to deliver translations to the correct meeting participant.
- Audio is sent to our translation backend for speech-to-text, translation, and text-to-speech processing.
- Translated text is sent back to your browser for display and audio playback.
4. Third-party services
The Extension uses the following third-party services:
- Sarvam AI — provides speech recognition, translation, and speech synthesis APIs. Audio chunks are sent to Sarvam for processing. Sarvam’s privacy practices are governed by their own policy at sarvam.ai.
- Google Sign-In — used solely for authenticating you to our backend. Governed by Google’s privacy policy.
We do not sell or transfer your data to advertisers, data brokers, or any third party outside the operational scope described above.
5. Data retention
- Audio: not retained; processed transiently and discarded.
- Translated text transcripts: deleted within 24 hours of the meeting ending, or sooner on request.
- Account data: retained while your account is active. You can request deletion at any time.
6. Your rights
You may at any time:
- Stop translation by clicking “Stop translating” in the Extension popup.
- Sign out via the Extension popup, which clears all local storage.
- Request deletion of your account data by emailing support@radaz.in.
- Uninstall the Extension to remove all local data.
7. Security
All communication between the Extension and our backend uses HTTPS and WebSocket Secure (WSS). Authentication tokens are stored only in your local browser storage and are not transmitted to third parties.
8. Children
The Extension is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
